It's Nice When It Works

October 7, 2024 The fruit of our labors Hi to one and all, because I have refined my blogging I feel no need to wail on about anything political here. This is going to be all about how great it is to have a plan come, quite literally, to fruition. Please to remember, that the image in this post is A.I. generated. To be precise, Image Creator from the sidebar in Edge. I use Image Creator not because I'm lazy or trying to cheat. I use it because my hands, hell my whole body vibrates so much, I can no longer get the images I want from my old and trusty Sony Alpha a68 or my new and frustrating cellphone. Be that as it may, we do have the first of our bananas in blossom, with the top row of bananas showing quite nicely. There are five more that are slowly maturing. With a bit of luck, in about a year's time we could have bananas year round from the garden. As well, we are joyfully nibbling on our cherry tomatoes. They are small, but they pack a lot of flavor. Then there are my personal favorites, the peppers. We have planted fourteen pepper plants, encompassing five distinct types. They are crispy, highly aromatic, brilliantly colored and terrifically tasty. The sweet peppers can be eaten straight from the plant, but you need to take care with the hot peppers. Thy are way too hot to eat from the plant, but they do a trick for seasoning in slow cooking or chopped up finely in an omelet. They also make a wicked Tabasco sauce when they are rendered down with Apple Cider Vinegar. A final bit of good news from the garden, both our Winged Beans and Snake Gourds have loads of blossoms and the beans have the first of hopefully many beans growing quite strongly. That's it for now, Brian
